Conversion Requirements

To be able to have a loft conversion that increases the amount of habitable room in your house, you should ideally have at least 2.2 metres in height from the bottom of the ridge board to the top of the ceiling joists in your attic.

If you have the required height, a number of different loft conversion types are available to you depending on your house structure and the planning permission and building regulations pertaining to your area.
