Result

The completed L-shaped Dormer loft conversion delivered a vast amount of extra space, providing plenty of room for the family to grow without the hassle and expense of moving. The previously underutilised attic was transformed into a stylish master bedroom, spacious loft home office and opulent marble bathroom. 

The new loft rooms are accessed by a beautifully designed staircase and landing area. A large rooflight in the landing ceiling lets plenty of natural light in, while traditional features such as the wooden stair handrail and spindles maintain the home’s classic style. Finishing flourishes such as using soft and dark grey paint on the walls and woodwork visually connect the rooms together.

The landing opens onto our client’s smart new loft home office. Immediately noticeable is the stunning feature window. Custom made to fit, the grey aluminium framed window spans an entire office wall, providing sweeping views of outside.

The study was equipped with everything our client needs to work comfortably from home. As well as room to fit a desk, double monitors, printer and seating area, handy storage was built into the eaves. To keep the air temperature exactly right, a traditional style radiator was installed, along with a top-notch air conditioning system to cool the room down quickly on hot days.

Up a couple of steps from the home office is the client’s plush new master bedroom and bathroom. Grey uPVC French doors and double Velux windows flood the room with light, creating a bright, airy living space.

The sloping ceiling provided the perfect spot for built-in storage. Here we designed and built a bank of flush, fitted wardrobes customised to our client’s storage needs. The space beneath the Velux windows was turned into two low-level cupboards, providing even more practical storage.

Our client was keen to develop an elegant en suite with all the comforts. Working closely to his design brief, we developed a decadent shower room featuring distinctive black and white marble tiling. A chic black framed shower enclosure combined with white wall-hung units keep the look minimalist and modern.

To complete this stylish loft conversion, natural carpeting was laid throughout the rooms, stairwell, and landing. Our client was delighted with the results and the amount of space his conversion unlocked. We hear the attic home office with its fabulous view is his new favourite spot in the house.
