With the previous contractor struggling to finish due to the complexity of the build, we stepped in to complete the attic extension.

The finished loft conversion was a resounding success. Having assessed and carried out any remaining structural work, we set about re-configuring and decorating the interior. The Mansard loft conversion created an impressive new bedroom and modern en suite.
To complement the period home, a traditional style stairwell was constructed leading to the new floor. Upon entering you’re greeted with a light, airy double bedroom, and just a step away, a sizeable modern shower room.
As with lots of London homes space is at a premium, so our homeowner was keen maximise every inch. As well as maintaining high ceilings to give a light, open feel, we ensured the space had copious storage.
One of the main ways we did this was by designing and installing custom fitted wardrobes around the walkway. Slotted into the wall recess, so as not to absorb valuable floor space, the bespoke cupboards provide plenty of space for clothes and other items. Painting them a pale colour helps reflect light, giving the illusion of more space.
Situated in Bow, a borough known for its charming Georgian and Victorian terraces, care was taken to maintain the home’s character throughout. As well as ensuring the Mansard roof extension blended with other properties by using similar materials, we installed double glazed sash windows, preserving its traditional appearance.
Although set in a historic building, the new loft floor has all the comforts of modern living. The shower room was designed to replicate a boutique hotel bathroom, featuring an elegant gold shower enclosure and vanity unit. Bold, blue wall tiles and brushed gold accessories add a splash of colour to the surroundings.
