To enhance the upper floor, we planned and constructed an extensive loft conversion. The first phase comprised building a Hip to Gable extension – converting the rear hipped section of roof into a gable end wall – followed by a side Dormer with a pitched roof. Extending and raising the roof structure in this way made room for spacious new master bedroom, bathroom, and cosy lounge area.
Having always had a small room, our clients wanted to realise their dream bedroom. After discussing their wants and wish-list items, we developed a large, luxurious new space. Glazed French doors in the gable wall flood the room with natural light. The double doors are perfect for throwing open in the summer.
The addition of a side Dormer with its own window creates a cosy chill out area, perfect for curling up.
Positioned at the front of the conversion is our homeowner’s luxurious new bathroom. Built into the slope of the roof, the sizeable en suite accommodates an egg-shaped bath, large corner shower and vanity unit. Twin Velux rooflights bathe the space in light and offer amazing sky views. Chrome accessories and marble effect floor complete the stylish interior.
Outside, the loft conversion exterior was constructed to blend with the original facade. The hip to gable and dormer extension were clad with red tiles to match the existing along with white facias and soffits. The black exterior frames of the Velux rooflights combine discreetly with the roof ensuring the extension blends with its surroundings.
