As the works involved the shared party wall, a formal agreement was arranged with the neighbouring property before construction began, ensuring a smooth and compliant process. With permissions in place, our team carried out the structural alterations, forming the new gable end and installing large rear facing windows to maximise light.
The reconfigured loft space now delivers two comfortable bedrooms designed specifically for the children. Each room benefits from good ceiling height, natural light, and enough space for storage, desks, and sleeping areas, making them suitable for both current use and future teenage years.
A central landing connects both rooms and leads to a newly installed shower room. This addition has been key to improving day to day living, reducing pressure on the main bathroom and creating a more practical family layout.
The shower room features a walk in enclosure, wall hung basin, and toilet, all finished with clean, modern fittings. Careful planning ensured efficient use of space without compromising comfort.
Every element of the conversion was designed to feel consistent with the existing property. The new staircase rises naturally from the first floor landing, matching the original proportions and style of the home.
Finishes were selected to balance durability with a clean, contemporary look suited to family life. Neutral tones, simple joinery, and well positioned lighting create bright, usable rooms that can easily adapt as the children grow.
