Result

Converting the loft gave our clients the extra space they crave without the cost and upheaval of moving. As the home is a period mid-terrace, we designed and constructed a full-width Dormer loft conversion to blend with neighbouring properties.

The extended loft space accommodates a spacious double bedroom, en suite with walk-in shower and home office area – perfect for making Zoom calls away from the hustle and bustle of family life.

To enhance light and space, rather than using bi-fold doors – which can take up room when they are open – floor-to-ceiling glass windows were installed instead.

The stylish black-framed windows extend the full length of the Dormer, flooding the room with natural light and providing impressive outdoor views. The top section of the windows open fully, allowing air to circulate and bringing the feeling of outside in.

Our clients were keen to make the most of any storage space helping maintain a clean, minimalist look. As well as building low level cupboards, a sleek, built-in wardrobe was created in the eaves, providing lots of additional storage for clothes and shoes.

Like all our loft renovations, care was taken to replicate period features and fixtures in the home. Alongside laying real wood herringbone flooring throughout – in keeping with the floors below – the stair rail and doors were tailored to match existing designs.

The result is a bright, airy loft conversion with lots of built-in character.
