Background:
Our homeowners live in a two-storey flat in a historic Warner house. There are around 4,000 Warner flats in Waltham Forest, East London. Originally built between 1910 and 1930, the homes comprise traditional red brick terraces each housing two flats. They are easily recognisable by their red brick exteriors and distinctive arched porchways.
The flat is relatively small for our homeowners’ needs, as such they wanted a loft conversion to create a light, open loft living room together with an adjoining bathroom. They were keen that the extension preserved the flat’s character while creating a comfortable, open plan living space.
