As their children grew older, our Romford homeowners needed to rethink how the bedrooms in their existing home were being used. The children had previously been sharing a bedroom, but the family now needed another permanent room with enough space and privacy for their teenage son.
Moving to a larger property would have meant taking on the additional expense and disruption of moving house, so the homeowners chose instead to make better use of the unused roof space already available above them.
A rear dormer loft conversion provided the additional usable floor area and headroom needed to create a spacious double bedroom together with a private en-suite.
The project was completed in 8 weeks, giving the family the extra bedroom they needed while allowing them to remain in their existing Romford home.
